Mr. Pleasants is a 1972 graduate of The Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind and served several times as president of the Blind Alumni Association. Pleasant' s 30+ year career in law enforcement began at Virginia Commonwealth University and later at the Virginia Department of Corrections.
Mr. Pleasants served on the VSDB Board of Visitors from 2009-2020, joined the VSDB Foundation Board in 2022, and currently serves as the Vice President. He lives in Sandston with his wife.
